  Note

Fallen Fae Academy is a Reverse Harem New Adult Bully Romance Academy Series.

What does it mean to be Reverse Harem? It means there will be three or more love interests for the Female Main Character, she will end up with three or more. Although this takes place at a high school Academy, the characters are 17+ and there are consensual sex, some language, and mature situations.

My name is Harley, as in Harlequin. Plucked from my home from Las Vegas, NV, and placed into a University on an arts scholarship. Suddenly I am the girl the four hottest and most popular boys have decided to "initiate".

This is no ordinary "hazing" ritual, and these boys are no ordinary boys.

This mysterious University looks like any ivy league campus, but it isn't. Step in and you are transported beyond your wildest imagination. I should be ecstatic being here. Except surviving "Initiation" is going to take everything I've got.

Don't let the beauty of the four fae boys fool you. They are as dangerous as they are beautiful. And underneath everything, runs a deep secret. One I need to find out before Initiation kills me.

They think a human is weak. They think I shouldn't be at this university. I'm about to prove them wrong.

  Prologue

  Las Vegas, NV

  Harley, as a child

“Come on Harley,” her mother said, rolling her sleeves up at the kitchen table. “Help me with these sugar cookies.”

Harley grinned. This was her favorite part of baking cookies with her mother. The decorating part. She ran over to the buffet table to pull out a drawer stuffed with Harley’s favorite cookie molds. There were stars, diamonds, hearts, bears, Christmas trees, ponies, and even unicorns. In another drawer, Harley pulled out bottles of sprinkles, colorful sugar, and even gold and silver candy balls.

She filled her arms with the molds and as many bottles she could, careful not to drop anything as she walked over to the kitchen table. Her mother had already rolled out the dough, ready for Harley to use her mold to cut out each cookie.

“Let’s see what you come up with, Harley,” her mother smiled.

“Just wait and see,” Harley giggled. She already had a picture in mind.

“Okay, Harley,” her mother smiled at her, putting an apron over her daughter’s head and then tying it around her. “I’ll step out of the kitchen until you need me to help put the cookies into the over, okay?”

  “Okay, Mom!” Harley grinned.

As her mother stepped out, Harley cut, assembled, and placed her pieces onto the baking tray. Within minutes, she had three baking trays filled.

“Mom!” she called. “Can you put these into the oven?”

Her mother walked into the kitchen and to Harley. “Wow,” she said. “There are so many pieces here. What are you making? An entire city?”

Harley smiled a secret smile. “Maybe. It’s a surprise.”

Her mother opened the oven and filled it with Harley’s trays.

When the cookies were baked, her mother brought the tray back to Harley.

“Thanks, Mom!” Harley said, wiping her hands on her apron.

“Okay, I’ll leave you to work on your cookie village for now. Call me if you need help for anything,” her mother said, walking out of the kitchen.

Harley waited for the cookies to cool off before assembling her cookie project.

  Finally, she was finished.

By then, it was dinner, and her father had returned home from his work constructing sets on the big shows that played in the casinos along the Las Vegas strip.

“What do we have here?” her father asked, walking into the kitchen with her mother.

“Your daughter had been working all day on this,” her mother said proudly.

“All I can say, Harley,” her father began, “is Wow.”

“Do you like it?” Harley asked, her eyes wide and innocent.

“Harley,” her father said, “this is something I see displayed in the store windows. Not from a 7-year-old.”

“Harley,” her mother said. “Incredible. You’re so gifted.”

“How does it taste?” Harley asked, scooping up a corner of her creation with a spoon to give to her parents.

“Oh, don’t do that,” her father said. “It’s too pretty to eat.”

“Let’s take a picture of it first before we eat it, okay, Harley?” her mother said.

  “Okay,” Harley said.

Her parents hurriedly grabbed their family camera, the best one their modest savings could afford, and took a picture.

They then took a bite from the spoons Harley had given them and chewed.

“I don’t understand,” her mother said. “I made the dough the same as always…sugar cookies dough, but this…it tastes…”

“Amazing!” her father finished for her.

“I added some more ingredients to the dough, Mom,” Harley said. “I wanted the flavors to reflect the themes of the each store.”

“I can see that,” her father said.

They all looked at the cookie project Harley made. It was a large cookie that was a scene from a fairy tale village. There was a bakery, ice cream shop, flower market, a bank, a library. Surrounded by fields of flowers, fields of vegetables and fruit trees, and the beauty of spring. All in a stained glass design.

“This belongs in a museum,” her father said.

“I don’t know where she gets this,” her mother said.

“Well, I do work in stage production,” her father said. “But I was never this creative…and at age seven.”

“I call this the village of the Spring,” Harley said.

Despite her artistic talent, which her parents tried to nurture, she had a very stable, safe, and secure, but happy childhood.

Her mother, always so efficient and pragmatic, had maintained a stable life for Harley, raising her in as normal of a household as could be in the suburbs of Las Vegas. It was a world of reasonable bedtimes, healthy meals, adequate exercise and a good education.

Her father, on the other hand, had always been the fun seeker, and Las Vegas had a lot to offer.

Harley was barely eight years old when her father brought her to the Valley of Fire where they explored the trails and drawings of ancient American Indians who lived there.

>   Then they’d explored Calico Basin and then Bootleg Canyon, hiking and exploring their surrounds like explorers.

She remembered the day when she was thirteen. In one day, they’d gone from trudging through a foot of snow in the forest of Lovell Canyon to the hot and dry trails of Sloan Canyon.

Despite calling her his little girl, her father never coddled her or made things easy. If she wanted to get to the top of a mountain, she had to climb it herself. No piggyback rides.

She smiled as she silently thanked him for making her so strong. Yet he always made her feel special…Daddy’s girl.

She loved him for it, and she loved spending so much time with her father growing up.

Their Vegas home may have been modest and a little outdated, but it was warm and filled with love.

And then there was The Strip, that famous stretch of road that people from all over the world came to see and enjoy. It was always an adventure.

Harley remembered the first time she saw the bright lights, and the excited people all going this way or that, in search of entertainment, whether it be a Vegas show or a casino.

While young, she thought the world was like The Strip. A thrill at every corner. A show every night. Fun and excitement everywhere you turned.

One day, without her mother knowing, her father had brought her to Circus Circus. Not only had Harley laughed and giggled as they’d played games in the large and noisy arcade, but she’d also shriek with fearful delight as they’d taken on the thrilling rides of the Adventuredome.

And then there were the shows. She’d been mesmerized by them.

So thrilled, she’d begged her father to bring her back to the large and colorful tent again and again.

Acrobats flew in the air, catching one another after multiple flips in the air. They walked the tightrope from one end of the stage to the other.

There were animals of every kind. Dogs, cats, ponies and parrots, danced, jumped through rings, ran through obstacle courses and charmed the audiences.

Musicians, dressed up in wild colors and flashy costumes, played music that catered to the young and young at heart.

And magicians. The magicians had always been her favorite.

For the longest time, Harley had believed that the magic was real. Rabbits really did appear from a hat. The doves really disappeared behind a colorful handkerchief. And the pretty lady really did survive being cut into three pieces.

In her adolescence, however, she was saddened to learn the truth. She’d became aware that the tricks she’d always loved, the tricks that had so enchanted her were mere illusions and not true magic. She’d been tricked by the sleight of hand, by the distraction and misdirection.

Magic, in the real sense, did not exist.

That is, until she discovered the fae world at the Fallen Fae Academy. And that she was a fae herself…well, half, and she had been a changeling bought up in the human world with human parents.

She had met her fae parent…the Queen of Spring.

And now…she had come face-to-face with her biological father…the Dark Fae Wizard.

  Chapter 1

  Faery Realms

  Harley

Harley no longer knew what to believe, or who. People weren’t who they seemed, or what they seemed. The more she learned about the world of fae, the more difficulty she had trusting anyone.

In the middle of the battleground, the land at the border of Spring and Woods, her mother, Harvestia, the Spring Queen, stood straight and strong in a brilliant gold suit of armor. She was confident and she exuded power like Harley had never seen before. But for all her confidence, Harvestia was clearly troubled by the turn of events.

“Stephen,” Harvestia said softly. “Man that I love.”

A dark fae, who had taken on the form of a black shadowy figure, when his face became visible between the flash of black smoke, Harley could see the resemblance of a once handsome man, but with troubling eyes that grew darker with every passing minute. His gaze was hard and uncompromising. It was increasingly frightening.

Stephen let out a sinister snicker. “My lovely Harvestia, your affection touches me deeply. The more you love me, the stronger I feel. You are my anchor.”

Harvestia looked at him with dismay and disbelief. “The Stephen I know is a good man. A loving man. I know your heart is good, just momentarily misguided.”

Stephen let out a maniacal laugh. It was a horrible sound that sent a foreboding chill up Harley’s spine.

How had she ended up in the clutches of a man who was supposedly her father? A man who was clearly demented and dangerous.

Everything had happened so fast. The fighting seemed to have started in every kingdom at the same time. The battles were violent and bloody. The Kingdom of Fall had attacked the Kingdom of Spring. Oak had led the Kingdom of Woods to fight the Kingdom of Fall, just as Kingsley had led the Kingdom of Sea.

It was all such a mess and Harley couldn’t help but feel a sense of responsibility.

“Misguided?” Stephen said. He leaned in closer to her. “I am the Dark Fae Wizard. Do you know what that means, my lovey?”

  “You’re lying,” Harvestia said.

“Am I?” Stephen said with an amused cock of his brow.

“The Dark Fae was defeated,” Harvestia went on. “The Dark Fae was banned from these kingdoms.”

Stephen leaned forward, his wild eyes drinking in the sight of his wife, the woman he’d not seen for decades.

“Take a close look, Harvestia,” Stephen said. “Take a really good look. I am the Dark Fae Wizard, and I am here, in your kingdom.”

“I thought you’d died, Stephen,” Harvestia said softly. The ugly darkness that hung over Stephen didn’t deter her. She maintained a calm demeanor as she tried to reach his soul. “I thought I’d lost you forever.”

“Well, here I am, my lovie,” he growled. “How about a sweet kiss?” He let out a loud cackle.

“I thought I’d never see you again,” Harvestia went on with the same steady and loving tone.

“Isn’t it amazing what a little dark magic can do?” Stephen said with an ugly giggle. “I was once a weak dying human, and now I am a powerful fae wizard.”

“If the dark magic brought you back to me, Stephen,” Harvestia said, “then I will forever by grateful, but you have to break free of the hold it has on you.”

He grinned. “You know, Harvestia, I never was a big fan of bright lights,” he said with a snicker. “I think the darkness suits me just fine. I like playing in the shadows. And I think it does wonders for my complexion.”

  Harvestia glanced at Harley.

“She’s your daughter, Stephen,” Harvestia said, grounding herself in her maternal conviction. “She’s of your blood. You must release her.”

He laughed again. “You’re quite amusing, my lovely. Why would I release her? I’m quite fond of having her with me. It’s about time she find out who her real parents are.” He squeezed Harley up against him and looked down at her with a horrifying grin. “What do you say, kid?”

Harley noticed Red and Zed standing off to the side, fidgeting and shifting from one foot to the other. On the one hand, she didn’t want them to intervene. She feared for them, for their safety.

But, on the other hand, she was eager to get out of Stephen’s deadly grip.

When Stephen looked down to Harley again, the twin fae warriors from the Kingdom of Fall, Red and Zed, took advantage of the distraction and pounced, jumping on Stephen with vicious force. Red grabbed Harley’s hands and tried to pull her out of Stephen’s hold while Zed fought to throw Stephen to the ground.

Despite their conviction and power, they did not succeed. For all the strength that Red and Zed possessed, they were no match for the superhuman power Stephen had.

Stephen effortlessly pushed Zed off him and nearly broke Red’s arms as he violently smashed his arm over Red’s.

After a failed attempted, they jumped him again, but this time Stephen became a thick clo
ud of black smoke. It was a tactic Stephen had used before and it had worked at the Fallen Fae Academy. And it worked well again. The twins could do nothing to help Harley.

“Stephen,” Harvestia said. “Please, stop. You have no idea what you’re doing. I know this isn’t you. I know you’re no longer in control of your own actions.”

“That just goes to show how little you know me, Harvestia,” Stephen said. “I’ve never felt better. I’ve never had more control in my life than I now have. Perhaps it’s the forces of darkness that are responsible.” He looked over at her. “Perhaps it’s the fact that I no longer have you controlling me.”
